Extreme Heat Exercise

Hi Y’all!

When temperatures get frozen over 100 Fahrenheit during the day and night time temps refuse to go below 90 Fahrenheit…

the only time to play outside is before the sun comes up.

  1. We hear you on the exercise challenge with those high temps…we’ve been having a heat wave here in NC as well!! We’re outside before the sun comes up, and incorporate a lot of water splashing when we’re outside during the day.

  2. We are out early morning and evenings when it is too hot out. Especially being low to the ground makes it hard in the heat as it comes from the ground and hits our bellies so easily.

    1. Hi Y’all,

Y’all have a big heavy coat too. Chessie coats are made to insulate them to swim in the icy waters of the Chesapeake Bay. It’s no fun not being able to take our coat off when it gets hot is it? Whoever said it insulates us from the heat never wore a fur coat in the summer!

  3. Glad you’re still able to get out and have some fun even if it is super early! I hope that you get to take a nice afternoon nap to balance it all out.

    1. Hi Y’all!

I spend most of the day sleepin’ in my bed, my crate, on the wood floor or the tile floor in the bathroom. It’s too hot to do anything else.

    1. Hi Y’all!

My Human has to be careful not to let me get too hot. She couldn’t pick me up if she had to…I weigh in at between 96 and 100 lbs. (43-45Kgs)
