  1. They are cute, but please keep them away from our area. They are so mean and destructive. The end of the summer they are actually hunted because they do so much damage. Really bad birds. The ducks are nice and fine, though, just those geese need to get back to Canada where they belong.

    1. Hi Emma,
You’re so right about them being mean, especially this time of year when they have young. When they have young you don’t see geese flying. They are very protective parents and are constantly “herding” their youngsters. When they molt in late summer they don’t fly. Once the youngsters are born you won’t see parents flying again until the babies have matured into their adult plumage.
We haven’t found them destructive, but we live in a wildlife conservation area.

    1. Hi Easy!

Yep, when you see that neck bent down like that you know somebody is in trouble. If they are givin’ you the eye, well, it’s time to get the heck out of “Goose Country”.

    1. Hi Dolly,

They seem bigger than me when they stand up straight and puff out. Since we’re in a wildlife conservation area my Human stops me if I try to chase. She make sure I stick to bumpers, balls and Frisbees. Sigh…

    1. Hi Y’all!

Sorry, I’m not allowed to chase the birds. I try to run in and play sometimes, but then I loose privileges for the pier or the lawn…and they say elephants have a long memory…it can’t be as long as my Human’s when it involves an infraction on my part.
