My Name is Gail!

Hello Peeps!

I’m a lucky girl named Gail!

Gail shelter dog May 12 2015

I’m about 7 to 8 years old and they say about 50 lbs.  I used to live in Kentucky but I had a big lump on my tummy so my family gave me up to the shelter.  I got lucky.  My foster mom in Illinois saw my picture and rescued me.

It wasn’t a tumer.  It was two hernias.  My foster mom got the hernias repaired and had me spayed.

I still have heartworm which I’m going to be treated for before you adopt me.

I’m feeling great and I’m greatful my foster mom came to my rescue and got me medical attention.  am so thankful for the rescue and my foster mom for giving me the medical care I needed right away!

“I have started my treatment for heartworm and if you adopt me I would need to go with you once a month for a couple months to one of the rescue partner vets near you. The rescue is paying for the treatment, so there is no additional cost for you. I don’t have any symptoms and I will be completely cured, I don’t want you to be worried about me. I am a happy, happy girl who loves to be near my people. I’m a really good girl and have made friends with the other foster dogs, the resident dogs, and the resident cat! I sit for treats too! Like a typical retriever, I LOVE everybody. 🙂 I know you will love me too when you meet me.”

“The adoption fee of $300.00 includes spay, hernia repairs, heartworm treatment, microchip, and current distemper combo and rabies vaccinations. If you are interested in adopting, please visit our website at www.starfishanimalrescue.com. Once you complete and submit your dog adoption application we will set up an appointment to meet this pup!”
