A Little of This n That

Hi Y’all!

Monday I promised to tell you why I dropped my ball and rolled on the ground!

I got a laugh out of Storm’s person’s comment…

2browndawgs said…

“In Storm’s case it would be she smelled some animal poop to roll in…lol.”

Sorry Storm, no poop to roll in…you’d love it during breeding season though…lots of duck and goose poop all over the place.  BOL…all yours too, ‘cause I’ve never rolled in it; I haven’t even rolled in dead animal carcasses.

But you weren’t alone in the “goose poop”…read on…

Amy said…

“My guess is goose poop. The Canada geese have been honking back to our area too. They sure would be fun to chase if it weren’t for my darn leash. Your pal, Toby”

Sam said…

“By any chance were you rolling in goose poop?
Monty and Harlow”

Those of you wanting a little goose poop…August is the best time because the geese are molting and there are LOTS of goslings trailin’ along with the adults.

A few of y’all just had nice comments…

Nature by Dawn said…

“LOL so cute! That look in your eyes is priceless. :)”

Molly The Wally said…

“Epic roll Hawk. That sure was a good one. Have a marvellous Monday.
Best wishes Molly”

JoAnn Stancer said…

“something got your undies in a bundle, can’t wait for TNT.”

Some of y’all started guessing…think maybe they know me?

It looks like you got bit by something or else the grass was just overwhelmingly soft and fuzzy and you had to drop and roll.

Flea said…

“Looks like something bit you, Hawk. That’s no fun.

Janet Keefe said…

“I wasn’t sure so looked at some of the other comments. Oh boy, I hope something didn’t bite you, Hawk! Hopefully you just smelled something in the grass that you had to stop and roll in!

GizmoGeodog said…

“Since you were near the river I’m thinking either a mosquito or fly bite Hawk…Have to come back to see for sure…Love the colors and effects in the last photo”

I think Roxy sums up everyones’ question…

Roxy the traveling dog said…

“Looks like you were having fun. But then what??”

Then Oz recognized my agony!

Oz theTerrier said…

“Oh Hawk…I sure hope you didn’t step in a fire ant pile. I did that once and great dawg it was OUCHY! They bit up my paws all in between my toes and everything. I hate those critters.
Have a great Monday, my pal!”

For those of you wondering I did get up and return the ball, then my Human took me down to the water to drown those pesky critters!

Tomorrow I wrap up my week!

Y’all come back now!

  1. Oh no. We don't have fire ants here. Thank goodness. Snakes, gators and fire ants! Snow and months of cold are looking much better to me. 🙂 Glad you got them off.

Thanks for participating in TNT and have a good Thursday!

  2. Oh man, those fire ants are awful! Once when my daughters were living in Florida, I got bit by one on my toe. Since I'm allergic to bug bites I had that itchy sucker for a month!! It was horrible.

I hope they didn't get you too badly.

  3. Oh Hawk…I am sorry for your horror. Fire ants are just the WORST of all critters created. What are they good for? I don't know. Their bites are so ouchy…I feel your pain, buddy. Glad you were close to water so you could drown the lot of 'em!
